Information used
Ellen O’Brien is responsible for the customer information she uses to run Profe Ellen. For privacy requests, use the email, telephone or postal address on this page. You do not need a website account to browse or buy.
Orders: Payhip shares information needed to deliver and support your purchase, such as your name if provided, email address, products, order reference, payment status and relevant billing or tax information. Ellen uses this to perform the purchase contract, deal with refunds and comply with tax and accounting obligations. Card details are handled by the payment provider; this website does not collect them.
Messages: when you contact Ellen, she uses your contact details and message to answer questions or resolve problems. The basis is taking steps at your request before a purchase, performing a purchase contract, or Ellen’s legitimate interest in answering other enquiries. Please do not send student personal information or card details.
Website delivery and security: Cloudflare hosts the site and may process IP addresses, browser and connection information to deliver pages and prevent abuse. This supports Ellen’s legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure shop. There are no advertising or analytics tools, newsletter sign-ups or customer profiling on this website.
Service providers: Cloudflare provides hosting; Payhip provides checkout, order records and downloads; Stripe processes payments; Microsoft Outlook/Hotmail handles email. Providers also process some information for their own legal, security and service purposes under their own privacy notices. Information may be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or resolving claims.
These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy notices explain applicable safeguards, including adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses where relevant. Contact Ellen for information about the safeguards applying to your information.
Retention: transaction and tax records are kept for the period required by Irish law, normally six years. Other correspondence is kept only while needed to answer the enquiry, resolve an issue or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, then deleted. Provider-controlled security and payment records follow the relevant provider’s retention rules. Browser cart data remains on your device until cleared; removing all items leaves an empty cart.
Cookies and external services
The cart stores selected product identifiers in local storage on your device so it survives a page refresh. It does not store card information. You can empty the cart or clear this site’s browser data. No advertising or analytics cookies are intentionally set by this website. Payhip, Stripe and TikTok are separate services with their own cookie and privacy information; visiting them may involve additional processing.

Your privacy rights
Subject to the conditions in data-protection law, you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your information, request portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Ellen may need proportionate information to verify your identity and will normally respond within one month, explaining any lawful extension. You can complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie or another competent supervisory authority. Providing purchase information is necessary to fulfil an order; without it the purchase may not be possible. Ellen does not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about customers.
